Common questions
How does the PDF get smaller?
Each page is saved as a lower resolution picture inside a new PDF. The tool finds the best quality that stays under your size limit.
Can I select the text afterwards?
No. Pages become pictures, so the text cannot be selected or searched. That is usually fine for uploading to a form.
What about a PDF with a password?
Use the Remove PDF password tool first, then add the file here.
What if the tool cannot reach the limit?
It shows the smallest version it could make. Use a higher limit or fewer pages.
