Nobody can open the file then, including us. Keep an unprotected copy somewhere safe.
How strong is the lock?
It uses 256-bit AES encryption, the same type used by banks. Strength still depends on your password, so avoid birthdays and simple words.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The file is locked inside your browser. The password is never sent.
How do I remove the password later?
Use the Remove PDF password tool with the same password.
