Select your file and the tool shapes it to the form rules, then checks it and tells you whether it is ready to upload.

    NEET UG size rules

    FileFile sizePixelsFormat
    photo10–200 KBAny size accepted (we make 413 × 531 px)JPG
    signature10–100 KBAny size accepted (we make 400 × 160 px)JPG
    thumb impression50–200 KBAny size accepted (we make 240 × 240 px)JPG

NTA gives only KB limits for the photo (10–200 KB) and signature (10–100 KB), not pixel sizes. The bulletin gives two different KB ranges for thumb impressions (10–200 KB and 50–300 KB), so we use 50–200 KB, which fits both. The face should cover about 80% of the photo and the background should be white.

How to resize your NEET UG photo, signature and thumb impression

    1. NEET UG is already selected above, so the tool applies its rules for you.
    2. Select your photo from the gallery. Drag or zoom it so your face sits in the middle of the frame.
    3. Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen and select a picture of it. Do the same for the thumb impression.
    4. When every row shows a tick, download the files and upload them on the official form.

    Common reasons uploads get rejected

    • The file size is outside the KB range.
    • The pixel size does not match.
    • The format is not JPG. Some phones save HEIC or PNG.
    • The background is dark or coloured, or there is a shadow on the face.
    • The signature is too faint or cut at the edges.

    Common questions

What is the NEET UG photo size?

NEET UG asks for a photo of 10–200 KB, a signature of 10–100 KB and a thumb impression of 50–200 KB, as JPG files.

How do I reduce my photo to 200 KB?

Choose NEET UG in the tool and add your photo. It finds the right quality automatically so the file lands inside 10–200 KB.

Why was my NEET UG photo rejected?

Usually the file is outside the allowed KB range, the pixels do not match, the format is not JPG, or the background is dark. The tool checks all of these before you upload.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens inside the browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to us.

Is this site connected with NEET UG?

No. This is an independent free tool. Always read the current notification at neet.nta.nic.in before you submit your form.
