Why convert
Many exam forms and job portals accept only JPG. A PNG is often much larger for the same picture, so a JPG also helps when a form has a size limit.
Common questions
Will I lose quality?
A little, because JPG compresses the picture. At the default 90% quality a photo looks the same. Screenshots with small text can look slightly softer, so raise the quality if that matters.
What happens to transparent areas?
A JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent areas become white.
Is my image uploaded?
